Function Point Estimation

Function Point Analysis Workshop

About Function Point Analysis

Software are inherently complex and require effective management. Effective management requires right estimates and effective measurements. The Function Point Analysis and Metric has become the choice for software sizing and measurement. The very important part of Function Point is that it includes the view point of both customer/user and vendors/technical team while understanding requirements and sizing the software. In 1999, the International Standards Organization adopted functional sizing as the standard for software measurement. Today the Function Point is used by thousands of companies worldwide to size software for satisfying customer expectations of delivering the system on time and within budget. Function Points are used to manage both the development and maintenance of application systems.

About the workshop

This course provides attendees a platform to learn Function Point counting techniques and apply them through case studies. The course is based on revised Function Point guidelines and FP Manual 4.3
